Reservation, rate, and airport pickup questions
Everything guests usually ask before confirming a chauffeur: lead time, published hourly rates, the $8 airport fee, included waiting, the optional $45 indoor meet-and-greet, SFO curb and bus-courtyard rules, child seats, and how charter cancellations work.
How far in advance should a reservation be placed?
Twelve to twenty-four hours of notice is ideal. That window lets dispatch lock the vehicle class you want, assign a chauffeur, load your flight or FBO details, and plan luggage, stops, and access instructions. Shorter notice is often workable — same-day requests are accepted whenever a suitable vehicle and chauffeur are free.
Which vehicles are available and what do they hold?
Three classes cover every itinerary: a luxury sedan for up to 3 guests with 3 bags, a Chevrolet Suburban LT for up to 6 guests with up to 6 bags, and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter charters configured for 6, 7 to 10, or 11 to 14 guests. Sprinter luggage room depends on how many seats are filled, so share bag counts and sizes when you request the quote.
What do the hourly rates cost?
Published as-directed rates are $130 per hour for the luxury sedan, $150 for the Suburban LT, $175 for a 6-passenger Sprinter, $200 for 7 to 10 passengers, and $225 for 11 to 14 passengers. Hourly work carries a five-hour minimum; single point-to-point trips are quoted as flat rates instead.
How is an instant one-way price produced?
Enter the exact pickup address, destination, date, time, vehicle class, and any extra stops in the reservation form and a price returns immediately. Published route rates are approximate one-way figures — the confirmed number can shift with precise addresses, vehicle availability, tolls, airport charges, parking, waiting time, added stops, and peak-event conditions.
What airport, waiting, and meet-and-greet charges apply?
Each airport pickup or drop-off carries an $8 airport fee. Airport arrival reservations include 60 minutes of waiting; point-to-point pickups include 15 minutes, and time beyond either allowance is charged at the confirmed vehicle's hourly rate. An optional indoor meet-and-greet is $45, with parking handled per the confirmed reservation.
Is gratuity part of the quoted price?
No, unless the written confirmation says otherwise. Guests who are happy with the drive are welcome to hand gratuity to the chauffeur directly.
How do sedan and SUV pickups work at SFO?
Arriving domestically at Terminal 1, 2, or 3, collect your bags and call or text the chauffeur with the terminal and door number, whatever the airline. Expect roughly 5 to 10 minutes for the approach, and the chauffeur can share a live location. International guests usually exit at Door 2 or Door 3 on the A or G side and wait at the white-striped curbside limousine section. SFO curbs allow active loading only, so be outside and ready before the vehicle pulls in.
Where do Sprinter groups board at SFO?
Sprinter service runs as pre-arranged charter for parties up to 14, so boarding happens at bus courtyards rather than the sedan curb. International Terminal groups use Bus Courtyard A or G on Level 1 at Arrivals/Baggage Claim. Domestic charters use the courtyard assigned to the arrival terminal — Courtyard 1 for Terminal 1, Courtyard 3 for Terminals 2 and 3, or Courtyard 4 for Terminal 3 when directed. Be at the confirmed courtyard ready to board, since vehicles cannot hold at the curb, and final instructions follow current SFO rules.
Does a pickup need to be confirmed by phone?
Once the written confirmation arrives, no separate confirmation call is expected. The exception is airport curbside pickup: call or text after you have your luggage and have reached the agreed meeting point so the chauffeur can time the approach legally.
What is the cancellation policy?
Event and charter vehicle reservations must be cancelled by email to info@blackchauffeurlimo.com at least 72 hours before pickup, and the cancellation counts from when that email arrives. Later cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable and any amount already paid may be retained. Airport and other reservations follow the cancellation language printed in their written confirmation, which controls if it differs.
Can extra stops be added to a trip?
Yes — list every stop when you request pricing. Routing, timing, vehicle availability, waiting time, and the final price are all confirmed together before travel, which avoids surprises on the day.
Are child seats available?
Yes, by advance request. Convertible seats and backless boosters can be reserved; send each child's age, height, weight, and the seat type you need so availability and vehicle fit can be confirmed.
Is smoking or vaping allowed on board?
No. Every vehicle in the fleet is smoke-free and vape-free without exception.
Which airports and private terminals are served?
Pre-arranged service runs to San Francisco International (SFO), San José Mineta International (SJC), Oakland International (OAK), and Monterey Regional (MRY), plus confirmed private-aviation terminals and FBOs around the Bay Area including Signature and Atlantic at SJC, Signature SFO, Signature Oakland, Moffett Field, and San Carlos Airport.
Which areas are covered?
Sunnyvale, San Jose, Santa Clara, the wider Silicon Valley, the Peninsula, San Francisco, the East Bay, Santa Cruz County, the Monterey Peninsula, Napa Valley, Sonoma County, and other confirmed Northern California destinations on request.
Is the company licensed and insured?
Yes. Pre-arranged passenger transportation is operated in California under CPUC charter authority TCP 46320-B by Black Chauffeur Limo Service, the licensed operator behind this brand, with commercial liability coverage in force.
What details should be supplied at booking?
Exact pickup and drop-off addresses, date and time, passenger count, luggage details, preferred vehicle class, flight or tail number when flying, every requested stop, and any child-seat or meet-and-greet request.
