Do you provide car seats for infants, toddlers, and older children?+
Yes. Every Premier Executive Chauffeur vehicle can be equipped with a rear-facing infant seat (0–2 years, ~4–35 lbs), a forward-facing convertible seat (2–4 years, ~22–65 lbs), or a high-back booster (4–10 years, ~40–100 lbs). Seats are late-model, professionally cleaned, and installed by the chauffeur before dispatch — never handed to you in a bag to install yourself. If you're unsure which stage applies, tell dispatch your child's age, weight, and height and we'll select the correct seat.
Is there an extra charge for a child car seat?+
No. Infant, convertible, and booster seats are included at no additional cost on any Lincoln Aviator, Chevrolet Suburban LT, or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter reservation — one per traveler, as many as the vehicle safely seats. This applies to airport transfers (SFO, SJC, OAK), hospital discharges, hourly service, and wedding or event travel alike.
How do I request a car seat when booking?+
Two ways. Online: on the booking form at blackchauffeurlimo.com/book, add a note in the Special Requests field listing each child's age and the seat type you need (e.g. "1 rear-facing infant seat, 1 booster"). Corporate accounts can save default child-seat preferences on the traveler's profile so recurring family or executive-family transfers arrive pre-configured.
How much lead time do you need for a car seat request?+
For a standard SFO, SJC, or OAK transfer we ask for 3–6 hours' notice so the correct seat is installed and inspected before the chauffeur leaves the yard. For multi-child Sprinter transfers (two or more seats) or unusual sizing, 12–24 hours' notice guarantees availability.
Can I install my own car seat instead?+
Absolutely. If you'd rather use your own seat — many families flying internationally do — just let dispatch know and the chauffeur will assist with installation using LATCH anchors or seat belts, and double-check the tightness before departure. We can also stow your seat in cargo for a one-way trip if you're bringing it to your destination.
How many car seats fit in each vehicle?+
The Lincoln Aviator seats one car seat comfortably (up to two with smaller boosters) in the second row. The Chevrolet Suburban LT fits two car seats across the second row plus a booster in the third row — the standard family choice. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter accommodates three or more car seats in captain-seat configurations, ideal for multi-generational travel, wedding parties with young children, or corporate offsites with families.
